Why de-clutter ?
The main reason we de-clutter is to simply FEEL BETTER. The mental benefits of being in an organised space cannot be underestimated.
You will feel LESS STRESSED and more calm about your situation. That feeling of lightness is extremely satisfying and can filter into other areas of your life.
When you're in a clear, arranged area you can find things more easily SAVING you precious TIME. You can then get on with the things you really want to be doing.
There's even scientific evidence to back this up! The Journal of Neuroscience published a study from Princeton University (Jan 2011) that used MRI scanning and other tools to conclude that if you want to FOCUS to your best ability then you need to clear that clutter. By doing so you will:-
* Be less distracted
* Process info more clearly
* Be more productive
It can help you to LET GO of the past and focus on the PRESENT. Whilst discarding items can be tricky at the time it can also be very liberating.
